James Lugo

OTB is incredibly proud to welcome the legendary James Lugo as our official Lead Vocal Coach. With over 30 years as an industry powerhouse, James’s career spans from performing with iconic rock bands like Dokken and Nazareth to the Broadway stage in Rock of Ages. He truly became a household name during his ten-year tenure as a vocal analyst and coach for American Idol, cementing his reputation as one of the most sought-after celebrity mentors in Hollywood. James has personally coached global superstars including Ariana Grande, Snoop Dogg, and Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins, alongside an elite roster that features 311, Matt Sorum (Guns N' Roses), and the multi-platinum group Exposé. His work has shaped voices for major networks and franchises including Glee, Disney, and Nickelodeon, bringing a level of expertise to OTB that is typically reserved for the major studios of Los Angeles.
